Wes Anderson, we love you

I have just watched Fantastic Mr. Fox.If you haven’t seen it, you must. It is  very entertaining and I would let my kids see the movie, if I had any. And that’s saying a lot. There are plenty of “kids” movies that I would never let kids see. If I did I would spend weeks trying to explain sex, and bodily functions and what the swear words mean and what exactly the dated and dripping political agenda/message of the studio/director/writer is pertaining too. Not my ideal of proper conversation for an adult after a long drawn out and dumbed down even for kids flick.

But Fantastic Mr. Fox is not like that. You will find yourself drawn in, just as you are with Wes’ other films. Same humor, which is awesome in an animated medium. Wes also makes use and has fun with the idea of the puppets. Very well done. It is not pretentious nor overly sappy (sorry Where the wild things are, a favorite book a disappointing movie). He does not take himself or the story so seriously that it sucks, he just has fun and that translates into you the viewer having fun with him.

Thank you Wes for maintaining your need to deliver a good script.
